David Beckham with his legendary career as a player for Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan has become one of the biggest icons in the game. Now happily retired, Beckham is still heavily involved with the game. He has now turned into a successful entrepreneur with his own team, Inter Miami soon set to debut in the MLS. He is also involved in various other ventures, especially collaborating with Adidas, with whom he has had a long partnership.
With his standing in the game, Beckham has also been actively involved in promoting various social issues. He is an ambassador of the UNICEF and is a very keen advocate in promoting the welfare of children.
Beckham also has taken a very active role in advocating the welfare and equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community. For that, a few months ago, Beckham with a host of other celebrities collaborated with Adidas to help the homeless of the LGBTQ community.
Beckham joined the ‘Prouder’ movement initiated by Adidas and designed a special range of sneakers called the ‘Samba’
The apparel giants had launched the range in support of the Albert Kennedy Trust who help in providing safe homes for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the youth.
Beckham was not the only one in helping Adidas out in their initiative. Other A-listers such as Pharrell Williams, Edward Enninful, Blondey McCoy, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Liam Payne were also a part of it.
These sneakers were auctioned off on eBay and all the amount raised were handed out to charities supporting the noble cause.
