Though ‘It’s coming home’ has been on the lips of every English fan as their team storm past one hurdle after another in the FIFA World Cup and inch closer to lifting the cup, there is another forgotten World Cup song that has suddenly resurfaced and getting popular.

The USP of this particular song is that it is by none other than by Spice Girls, featuring David Beckham. The 1998 England World Cup Anthem “How does it feel to be on the top of the world” was not even there in the memory of fans, but now, as it is again being shared rapidly on social media, people are getting glued to it. The nostalgia of seeing young David and Victoria Beckham is what is making it click with English fans at this moment.

The song, which sold around 94,000 copies 20 years back, was formed by Echo and the Bunnymen, Ocean Colour Scene, Space and The Spice Girls.

England will face Croatia in the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, July 11.
