One of the biggest nights in all of football – the Champions League Final is just a few days away. After the final played between Manchester United and Chelsea a long wait has ended of seeing an all English final. The battle will be fought between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Being the grandeur that this event is, it also deserves a great grand opening ceremony. Like every year, this year will also see headline performers inaugurating and taking center stage.
Grammy award winners and one of the best rock bands in Europe – Imagine Dragons are all set to perform as the main event. The inauguration ceremony of the final is brought to us by Pepsi and they seem to hold the key in getting the rock band on board as well.
The band that is famous for tracks like Radioactive, Counting Stars, and Thunder will perform on the 1st of June at the Estádio Metropolitano in Madrid.
Singer Dan Reynolds said:
“We’re honoured to be playing the UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony with Pepsi for some of the most passionate sports fans on the planet. It’s going to be a great show in Madrid.”
The fourth-year of the Champions League Final opening ceremony seems to be similar to its previous editions in terms of fun, entertainment, and grandeur. Imagine Dragons will take the step ahead after Dua Lipa sensationalized the crowd in her amazing music.
UEFA Events SA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein said:
“We are extremely excited to be collaborating with Pepsi on the 2019 UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony. For the fourth year running, the opening ceremony will bring music, entertainment and sport together in an epic experience for fans – and Pepsi is the perfect partner to help us do that.
The All-English final between the two premier league clubs will be aired in more than 200 countries around the world. The final act from the band will happen just 10 minutes before kick off of the biggest European game of the year.
