As Jesse Lingard continues his battle against his recent injury, he decided to spend his day off by visiting Saint Margaret’s school in his home town of Warrington on Friday. And there, he once again proved why he remains a perfect role model for youngsters by treating the kids with free ice cream.

The 26-year-old winger, who is set to miss United’s trip to Stamford Bridge for the FA Cup tie, spent some quality time with the kids and their family by clicking pictures and signing autographs. In an Instagram upload, Lingard seemed fully excited and said, “Man’s going to the ice cream van, yeah!”

Those present heaped praises on Lingard’s gesture and loved what he did for the kids. Mum of one said, “Thanks for this afternoon- you’ve made Patrick’s day! Hope you enjoyed your ice cream.” If you are thinking this is the first time Lingard has done something of sort, give us the freedom taking you back in time.
Ahead of United’s pre-season tour in America in 2018, the midfielder was approached by a group of youngsters while being in their local neighbourhood. And the next thing you know, he was playing with the kids as they continue their screaming in utter incredulity.

And it was in January 2019 that he once again stunned the supporters by his right-doings. Appearing on Soccer AM, Lingard had a chance of winning £500 for the AFC Wimbledon fans, as the only thing he was tasked to do was to score a penalty. Well, he missed and the fans were left disappointed. But little did they know their fate had something better in store. After the programme, Lingard reached out to the supporters and gave them £600.
