Despite the FIFA World Cup being the talk of the town, it is the transfers which are getting the rest of the traction. Premier League clubs, in particular, grab all the attention and for all right reasons, as it is one of the most popular league on the planet. That being said, we think it is high time we talk about the transfers, or the rumours, which are grabbing all the headlines off late.
Seems like there is no stopping Unai Emery now. After acquiring Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer, the Spaniard went on to sign Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen and Sokratis Papastathopoulos being an Arsenal player is not long as well.
That being done, Emery is now targeting a certain 22-year-old Real Betis defender/winger, Junior Firpo. Born n Dominican Republic, Firpo moved to Spain at the tender age of six and AS quotes he has a release clause of €25 million (£22m) in his current contract.
Capable of playing as the left-back, Firpo’s versatility allows him to play as the central defender as well as the left-winger.

The uncertainty over the managerial change at Stamford Bridge keeps increasing as the weeks go by. Reports are keen that Maurizio Sarri is set to become Blues’ new boss, and for that matter; he has already marked his potential transfers for the summer.
And Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, 23, is set to be the one. Only a week back, reports from Italy quoted the Blues have struck a deal worth €32m plus €3m bonuses for the defender and he would be presented as new Chelsea player along with Sarri, but nothing of sort has happened up until now.
Meanwhile, Rugani’s agent Davide Torchia has confirmed Chelsea’s interest, but that quoted that the deal will only go through once the managerial changes are resolved.
“It is obvious to say that the Sarri question must first be resolved, then proceed with the negotiations and make them more or less concrete,” he told Sportitalia, as reported by Tuttojuve.com.

Liverpool have completed the signing of 17-year-old striker Bobby Duncan, who happens to be a cousin of Steven Gerrard. Duncan has signed a three-year deal with the Reds and has joined them from Manchester City.
As far as the fee is concerned, Liverpool have paid City a compensation fee of £200,000, and he will start his pre-season training at the Academy in July.
Furthermore, as Liverpool Echo quotes, Duncan was a subject of an interest from Tottenham, Monaco, Juventus and Roma but he decided to join Liverpool since his heart was set on the club.

Juventus are willing to play card for Manchester United attacking Anthony Martial they are best known for. After acquiring Emre Can from Liverpool on a free transfer, for which they waited for an entire season, they are willing to wait for Martial’s contract to expire and get him on a free transfer next summer.
The 22-year-old Frenchman has reportedly grown frustrated at Manchester United due to his limited game time and is willing to making a fresh start away from the club.
Manchester United, on their part, are unwilling to let him go and have told the interested clubs to pay as much as £79m for him, which Juventus are not interested to meet.
Martial will have just one year remaining in his current contract once the 2018/19 season kicks off and although the club has an option to extend it for another year, it is looking highly unlikely.

Manchester City are reportedly showing interest in signing former Manchester United and current West Brom goalkeeper, Ben Foster.
After being relegated from the Premier League, Foster along with Craig Dawson has refused to play the pre-season tour for West Brom, sparking fresh media speculations. Although the Baggies are in no pressure of selling the duo, they are well expected to punish the two.
Meanwhile, besides Manchester City, Watford have shown a potential interest as well. And should Foster arrives at the Etihad, the end of the road for Claudio Bravo could well and truly be expected.
Foster was a Manchester United player from 2005-2010 and won two League Cups during the tenure.
