Sergio Ramos is all set to get married to the love of his life, Pilar Rubio in June in a grand ceremony in the Spanish city of Seville. The wedding will take place on June 15 in the historic church city as Ramos wanted to tie the knot in the city where he started his career, at Sevilla.
The marriage was announced by Ramos on Spanish TV programme El Hormiguero a few months back with the Real Madrid captain saying:
We’ve decided to get married in Seville because we’ve been in Madrid for so long now, it means there’ll be less people. It’s going to be a special wedding because we’re special. It’s a very special moment for us after being together for so long and forming such a fantastic family with three little ones who fill our lives with passion. We felt it was the ideal moment and we wanted our children to enjoy it because when they were younger it’s not something they would understand so much.”
In the same interview, Rubio had hinted that there would be a famous singer or a band who would perform at their wedding ceremony:
There’s going to be something very big but I can’t say what. I’m as excited about putting on my wedding dress as I am about what’s going to happen afterwards.”
A report in Spanish publication AS has now revealed that the couple are now in talks with two of the most legendary acts in the history of rock music: Aerosmith and AC/DC to perform at the wedding.
The decision will now be left with the preference of the guests on whether they go with the American act Aerosmith or Australian rockers AC/DC for the ceremony.
The couple have been in a relationship since 2012 and have been dubbed as ‘Posh and Becks’ of Spain. They have three children together – Sergio (4), Marcos (3) and Alejandro, who was born in March last year.
Pilar has been quite a catch for Sergio as she is a highly coveted model and a former television personality. Such is her appeal in her native homeland that she has been voted the sexiest woman in the world by FHM Spain in 2008 and 2009.
