It is a blessing to become a parent and the best feeling is to experience parenthood. Recently, this blessing has been showered upon Manchester United‘s centre-back Chris Smalling as he was blessed with a baby boy with wife Sam.
Chris is celebrating becoming a father for the first time by welcoming baby boy Leo Asher in the world after wife Sam’s complicated 39-hour labour.
Isn’t Leo Asher just the cutest thing? The baby is so adorable that his cuteness can melt anybody’s heart.
In a loving post on Instagram, Sam, 33, wrote: “Welcome to the world Leo Asher Smalling. Me and (Chris) are totally in love with this little man and promise to try and be the best parents we can be, to help him be the best human he can be happy, healthy and kind. After a tough 39 hour labour he arrived on his due date, 14th May 2019. Leo was so strong throughout the labour and delivery and is doing really well.”
“Unfortunately, I’ve had some complications, hence only just getting round to the posting. It’s been really tough physically and emotionally but I’m so so grateful for my amazing husband who’s literally been the best dad and husband in the world. And my amazing mum who’s been, chief cook and housekeeper. Not forgetting [dogs] Miley and Ruben who have been little stars. so grateful for everything I have,” she added.
Smalling and wife Sam first announced they were expecting on New Year’s Eve, with the pair tying the knot back in June 2017 near Lake Como in Italy.
The birth is also ideal timing for the 29-year-old following the end of United’s season, with the centre-back not due back for pre-season until the beginning of July.
Manchester United’s centre-back already seems to be hands-on with his daddy duties. He, no doubt, is very excited about becoming a dad and will surely make a great father.
He was captured getting to grips with daddy duties with baby boy Leo after his model partner’s horrendous ordeal.
We congratulate the couple on becoming happy parents and wish the whole family good luck for their future.
