Manuel Neuer is currently one of the best goalkeepers in the world. The 2014 World Cup winning captain is known for his shot stopping ability. The Bayern Munich star has struggled to reproduce his best form after coming off from a lengthy foot injury.
While the goalkeeper is having a tough time on field, he is having a smooth personal life with his gorgeous wife Nina Neuer. We go through the journey of this wonderful couple.
The scene of their first meeting can be said to be coming straight out of the Bollywood flick. It was a love at first sight but with the twist. The eyes that met each other were not the real ones but glass ones which was made for a wax statue of the German icon.
According to the story in The Sun Nina worked with the museum in 2015 when Neuer had come to see his waxwork and that is when they first met. He proposed Nina during Christmas in 2016 and in 2017 they decided to marry in Italy.
Nina hails from Berlin and has studied law and economics.
Nina loves horses and is a professional dressage rider, although at a low level. Her love for horses can be seen from the numerous photos of herself in training and competition .
Nina has two horses she rides in competition, a white stallion named Eliott and a brown stallion called Don Darius – which she calls Don for short.
She mostly competes in regional events but also recently competed in the Under-25 German Grand Prix, where she finished a respectable seventh. Nina is trained by German international rider Benjamin Werndl.
