One of the greatest Brazilian footballers of all-time, Jair Ventura Filho, better known to the world as ‘Jairzinho’ was born on December 25, 1944. Though the 1970 FIFA World Cup is closely associated with the image of Pele lifting his final World Cup, Jairzinho was the star man for Brazil in the tournament. He scored in each and every game and terrorized defenses with his pace and trickery from the right flank. He was an outrageous dribbler and the legendary Garrincha’s successor in the national set-up.
