With the 2019 Formula 1 season not kicking off until mid March, racers are enjoying their time to fullest and a certain Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas is no different. Following a disappointing campaign, the Finnish driver has decided to make his way all the way from his homeland to South America.
Bottas, who finished fifth in the driver’s standings last season, has been exploring the routes of Argentina and Chile and has been giving his fans some serious travel goals. The 29-year-old racer started his South American quest right after spending his festive period of Christmas with wife Emilia in Finland.
As we predict from his Instagram timeline, the Fin’s journey started from the capital city of Chile, Santiago, where he was seen enjoying a chilled beer. What further appeared to be a visit in the Casablanca Valley, Bottas then honed his photography skills by having a stopover at the Wines and Barrels.
His New Year’s celebration was glorified in the port city of Chile, Valparaiso, before he began his road trip to Argentina. There he visited the region best known for its Malbecs and other red wines. This time around though he was more interested in seeing the wonders of nature.
Again bringing out the photographer hidden within him, the 29-year-old shared the landscape images of Aconcagua national park, situated at a summit elevation of 6,960.8 metres. Check out the rest of the images the Mercedes driver shared on his Instagram:
