Red Bull Racing’s social media is simply the best you will ever see in the Formula 1 circuit. Well, of course, they don’t bulge into Twitter banter much like Mercedes and Force India, but they do have their own flavour, to say the least. They will let Verstappen and Ricciardo be the samurais when it’s Japanese Grand Prix, or go all traditional when it’s Mexican Grand Prix. And yes, not to forget their cowboy attire during the US Grand Prix.
So when it the Formula 1 calendar returns to Interlagos in Brazil, why not try some trickery in football? Brazil, after all, is considered by many as the home of football. This time around, the drivers decided to swap their driving seat with an exhilarating futsal action in a court in Sao Paulo.
Both Max and Daniel are no stranger to football. Remember their tryout from the Akademie in Salzburg? Futsal, however, is a completely different ball game, to say the least, as it involves more trickery than a traditional game. So the video starts with the tricksters teaching the duo some artistry like basic flips and flip-overs before they try themselves out.

And to a major surprise, Verstappen was able to perform a swift nutmeg on Ricciardo. The two were absolutely enjoying their time off the track, but unfortunately, same cannot be said about their 2018 Formula 1 season. Although the Australian got off to a flyer, he now sits more than 70 points behind his teammate in driver’s tally. With two races still to go, Ricciardo already has as many as eight retirements at his disposal, with the latest being the Mexican Grand Prix.
Ricciardo will move to Renault for the 2019 Formula 1 season, while Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly will acquire the Australian’s seat at Red Bull.
