Lakhs of tourist flock Odisha every year to soak in its rich heritage, spiritual aura and relax by its shores. However, the number is going to multiply several times in the coming month this year as Hockey Men’s World Cup is scheduled to take place in Bhubaneshwar during November.
All geared up to host the big event, Odisha government is now also offering special tour package called ‘Odisha by Day and Hockey by Night’ to lure more and more tourists to the city.
Under these packages, sports lovers coming to the city can visit popular tourist sites in and around the city during day time and watch the matches at night.

Odisha Beaches
Odisha is home to few of the most breathtaking beaches of the country. Apart from the popular ones, most of the beaches here are untouched and spec clean. You can come here to jog or simply sit and soak in the beauty of the place. Few beaches you must visit here are Konark-Puri sea beach, Chandipur beach, Rishikulya beach and Astagang beach, among several others.
Konark Sun Temple
You must visit the Konark Sun Temple, which is around 1.5 hours drive from Bhubaneshwar. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and attracts lots of tourists every year.
Gopalpur Beach
About 15km from Brahmapur is the beautiful town of Gopalpur. An ancient sea port, the place is relaxed and has a laidback feel. So, in case there are no matches and you plan to stay at a beautiful location for a day or two, you can book a nice sea facing resort here.
Jagannath temple
