Running around the field with a hockey stick and maneuvering the ball might look easy on the eyes, but doing it for 70 minutes is a challenge that might be too absorbing for most of us. Hockey players are not special humans, but they are trained professionals with fit bodies.
Running around the ground for more than hour, covering miles in distance, and training rigorously for hours in the day are just a few things these players do with ease. Why are they able to do it without much trouble? Well, it is their diet and the hours they invest in the gym that keeps them going.
One such stunning young hockey ace in India is Harmanpreet Singh, and the defender absolutely loves being at the gym. Here are a few inspirational videos of him working out and completing challenges as well.
He believes in working harder every single day and achieving the greater goals that one assumes they cannot. Here he’s seen doing squats with what seems to be an extremely heavy weight. Our guess is that their weight is somewhere around 100kgs, which is definitely a lot!
Work Hard. Eat Clean. Rest Well. Repeat
This seems to be the motto of Harmanpreet, who is absolutely killing it in this intense abs workout with a 25kg plate and reverse crunches. Trust us, they are way more difficult than how this man is making them look!
Back to the squats, this time with a lot more weight on the bar. We think the weight is a lot more now and our guess is somewhere around 120 kilos, with six 20kg weights. Here he says that you just keep getting stronger even if life isn’t getting easier, and its an inspiration for all of us.
It seems that someone challenged Harmanpreet to do a headstand and the defender did not back out from it. We love his ‘never say die’ attitude and how he managed to complete the challenge even if it took him more than a few tries.
It’s not all about strength for him, here we can see his agility. The jump looks easy but is extremely difficult. Kudos to Harmanpreet and his agility.
The hockey star hails from a small village and a farmers’ background, achieving the feat that he has and fighting all the struggles is quite an inspirational story. We can also see this inspiration on his Instagram captions and not just on his fitness posts!
