Anup Kumar, captain of U Mumba team in the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, led the Indian side while Ajay Thakur scored highest for India with 14 points to his name.
On India’s win, Amitabh Bachchan, India’s most iconic actor of the Bollywood said:
“Score would be three times the combined score of Kabaddi in favour of India, in cricket! Say this. Be proud of India. Proud to be an Indian,” added the 74-year-old legend, whose son Abhishek Bachchan owns the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League”.
Amitabh also tweeted, ” India beat Argentina 74-20 in Kabaddi World Cup. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS INDIA! Some comments saying (cont).”
Though India had a bad beginning when they were stunned by Korea, they soon gathered their potential and were back in their mettle. India would now be looking to extend their winning run and make a mark on the World of Kabaddi once again.
