The action for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 will kick off on October 7, 2018, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Twelve franchises will be going head to head for a period of three months to compete for the chance to claim the coveted championship title. The grand finale of the Pro Kabaddi League 2018 will take place at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai, Maharashtra on January 5, 2019.
One franchise which will hope to make it to the finals will be U Mumba. Last season the two-time champion failed to make it to the playoffs, but this time around the new looked side will be hoping to change the scenario.
After captain and Kabaddi stalwart Anup Kumar to the Jaipur Pink Panthers in this year’s auction, U Mumba has signed some experienced players to add more firepower in their ranks which have the mix of experience and youth.

Abolfazl Maghsoudlou handed charge of raiding department
With experienced Anup Kumar no longer part of the side, The Mumbai outfit will be relying on Iranian raider Abolfazl Maghsoudlou to do the job in the raiding department alongside young raiders. The lanky Iranian is a force to reckon with as he used his large frame and smooth skills on the mat to score crucial points.
In Pro Kabaddi League Season 5 Abolfazl while playing for Dabang Delhi scored 91 raid points and his new franchise will be hoping that the Iranian continues his rich form.
Iranian coach Gholamreza Mazandarani could work his magic with the young side
There is no doubting that the Iranian coach has the caliber to bring the best out of young players. He led the Iran national side reach the final of the Kabaddi Masters Dubai and the recently concluded Asian Games 2018. Iran turned heads when they defeated India and went on to win the gold medal for the first time at the Asian Games.
He is also known to give chance to youngsters and with his instincts and output, he can turn the outfit into genuine title contenders.
U Mumba adds some steel to its defense
The franchise made a strong statement when they spent a crore on Iranian powerhouse Fazel Atracheli to strengthen their defense. The men in Ornage and black will also have the experienced Dharmaraj Cheralathan and Rohit Rana enabling youngsters like Surender Singh, Rajaguru Subramanian and Adinath Sakharam Gavali to shine in their company.
Fazel Athracheli will be the X-Factor for the side
Fazel Atracheli has been previously part of the U Mumba squad for Season 2 and 3, winning the title in Season 2 and consistently delivered strong performances.
His performance last season for the Gujarat Fortunegiants further strengthened his reputation in the league. He has scored 152 tackle points in his PKL career and is one of the most deadly corner defenders in the league.
