Pakistan kabaddi team is one of the best teams in the world currently. They did not come to take part in the Kabaddi 2016 World Cup but this is just because for political reasons than anything else.
Pakistan team were there in India in 2014 to take part in World Cup near Amritsar. This was the same time when Peshawar saw one of the brutal attacks. The attacks had moved the whole of country and people were coming out in support of the victims and the families if the deceased.
Pakistan kabaddi players were really broken here in India as they were far from their home. Also, they were here to take part in a kabaddi tournament, which demands a lot from you, both physically and emotionally.
The players, however, collected themselves and showed up on the match day with black ribbons on their arms to solidarity with the victims of the attacks.
One of the player, Akmal had said, “But keeping in view the sentiments and efforts of Indians, we decided to play, but wearing black ribbons to protest killing of young students in Peshawar.”
“Our black badges convey our feelings to people here and back home in Pakistan. Young children don’t know what politics is. Those who killed them are barbarians and Allah would never forgive them,” added another player.
