Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 commences in a two days time with teams looking to battle each other in a three-month-long grueling season and lift the coveted trophy. The season 6 of Pro Kabaddi League will kick off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on October 7, 2018, and the grand finale will take place in Mumbai on January 5, 2019.
Coming into the new season raiders will once again be in the spotlight thanks to their wide variety of raiding techniques on the mat which has enthralled the fans for past five seasons.
Today we take a look at raiders, who will once again look to lit up the new season.
The raider from Maharashtra is a very popular figure in the Pro Kabaddi League and ruled the points chart in season 2 with 114 points from 14 games for Dabang Delhi and equalled the figure last season while playing for U Mumba. This season the Adake will be donning the red jersey of Bengaluru Bulls. He will be jointly leading the raid department with Rohit Kumar and will be hoping to help his team reach playoff spot.
The young raider was the find of the last season helping the new formed Gujarat Fortune giants to enter the final in its debut season. The 18-year old raider dismantled the opposition defense with his raiding skills to run riot on the mat. While the Gujarat side failed to win the final, Sachin scored 159 points in 24 matches for the world to sit and take notice of this young talent.
The backbone of Patna Pirates until last season will be donning the jersey of Haryana Steelers who made the highest paid player in the history of PKL paying a whopping 1.51 Crores to get his service. The pressure will be on the man from Services who will be leading the charge to shoulder the responsibility of picking up points being their lead raider. He will be supported by experienced Wazir Singh and Vikash Khandola. If he manages to put in a great show then Steelers stand a great chance of winning the title this season.
With Jan Kun Lee on his side, Maninder Singh has been able to put his best foot forward on the mat and have been a consistent point scorer for the warriors. He had an incredibly good season last year scoring 190 points. In Season 6, he would like to continue his knack of scoring points and take his team to the playoff.
