One of the fittest and most successful Australian tennis stars, Jelena Dokic got consumed by a massive weight gain diet after she retired from professional tennis. The former World No. 4 announced her retirement back in 2014 and she hasn’t been able to keep a tab of her diet since. Maybe she was just letting go after holding onto a tight fitness regime while she was in action. She weighed almost 120 kilos at her heaviest.
However, that wasn’t the end of her story. She is back and her transformation is something that can be motivating for anyone and everyone!
Jelena herself was supremely overwhelmed by her achievement and went all out on her transformation post she posted on her Insta profile:
The former tennis star expressed her happiness and explained her plan as well as motivated others to do the same in her caption. She also thanked everyone that helped her and believes that nothing is impossible.
She has lost around 38 kilos and currently weighs approximately 76 kilos. However, she is not happy with this but still considers it to be an important milestone in her progress. Her target is to go down to 60-65 kilos.
She is not a regular on Insta with her diet and workout pictures but she has posted a couple of them. The athlete believes that a healthy diet and workout are at the crux of her weight loss plan. Fruits are favourite snack as they are packed with Vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and most importantly, they’re natural and not processed, is what she says in her Instagram post.
The 2000 Wimbledon semi-finalist, who is now associated with channel 9 and extensively covered the Australian Open is confident than ever after her weight loss, and we can see it in her Instagram posts!
