Bastian and Ana dated for two years before getting married in 2016 in Venice. In 2018, the couple welcomed their first son, Luca.
Ana announced the news of her second child on social media with an image of four pairs of shoes lined up in descending order. Her caption read – “Our hearts are bursting with joy. 💛 We are going to have another little addition to our family! Two under two 😃👪👶🏻”
Bastian too took to social media to share the happy news. He captioned the post: “We are full of love and happiness. Can’t wait to welcome our newest family member. Love you @AnaIvanovic 3+1=31.” The number shirt he wore at Manchester United and Bayern Munich was 31.
Ana retired from the tennis court in 2016 after completing a fabulous 13-year run. During that time, she was ranked as World No. 1 by winning the French Open in 2008. She has also won two WTA Tournaments of Champions. Overall, she has achieved 15 titles and three Grand Slam finals (out which she won one).
On the other hand, Bastian is a German footballer and has played for the German national team from 2004 to 2016. He spent 17 seasons at Bayern Munich, playing in exactly 500 matches across all competitions and scoring 68 goals. He joined Manchester United in 2015, playing sparingly for 18 months before moving to Chicago Fire.
Wishing a duo a hearty congratulations!
