Tennis icon Rafael Nadal has again had a successful season, staying World No.1 for large parts of it while also adding another Grand Slam title to his already impressive collection by winning the French Open crown. The Spaniard has now won a staggering 17 Grand Slam titles and has already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest tennis players in the history of the sport.
Nadal though had to call an early end to his season, struggling with various injuries and missed out on some big tournaments like the Paris Masters and the ATP World Tour finals. This has led to him losing the World No.1 ranking to rival Novak Djokovic, who is currently on one of the hottest streaks of his career.
Nadal though is not fretting over the disappointment and has taken off from his native Spain to fly off to the coastal city of Miami in Florida in the United States of America.
Nadal gave this update to his millions of followers on his Instagram account, looking elated to finally have some off-time in what has been a pretty busy year.
Nadal wrote on his Instagram, “Holidays …. Ready to travel to Miami. Now time to relax.”
Here is Rafa’s Instagram post:
After a grueling schedule which takes a lot of toll on one’s body, the tennis icon has certainly earned his well-deserved break.
