Sakshi Malik, the wrestler who made history by winning the bronze medal for India, has recently married Satyawart Kadian, a youth Olympics 2010 bronze medallist and silver medalist in 2014 Commonwealth Games winner. Sakshi and Kadian got engaged last year and have tied the knot in a grand ceremony. Sakshi’s bronze medal win over Aisuluu Tynybekova won her fame and glory as Indians eagerly awaited an Olympic medal at the 2016 Olympics.
Sakshi Malik looked absolutely stunning in a red lehenga and was seen on Twitter posting pictures of her mehndi hands and legs in preparation for the wedding. Wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is a two-time Olympic medallist, and national Lok Dal leader Abhay Singh Chautala were seen at the wedding. Many sports personalities joined the buzz on Twitter and congratulated her (Virender Sehwag, Vijender Singh and Saina Nehwal, to list a few).
Virender Sehwag was invited but apologized on Twitter for not being available due to his Kings XI Punjab team prep for IPL 10.
Wish you a very happy married life @SakshiMalik . Couldn’t make it because of IPL camp. Best wishes for a life of joy and no kushti at home

The wedding was much of a surprise to many, as Sakshi Malik had kept the occasion secret. She posted a pic of herself on Facebook, looking the happiest she can be on her special day. The post went on to say, “The perfect matching accessory for your dress is not the jewellery but your smile.” A true statement from a living legend of star sportswomen.
