Everyone remembers the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin from their childhood memories. As kids growing up in the 90’s, Austin was every child’s icon, flipping up his boss, drinking beers and delivering stunners to each and everyone in his sight. He was the face of the ‘Attitude Era’ the most successful phase in the history of professional wrestling and single-handedly with his charisma and anti-hero persona, saved the WWE in their battle against WCW in the ‘Monday Night Wars’.
The days are long gone now and it has been over a decade that Steve Austin has been happily retired from the business. The ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ is in his 50’s now, yet is strikingly fit. He owes this due to a strict workout regime, which he religiously follows.
Austin goes through a rigorous workout four days in a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The other three days are reserved to give his aging body a rest so that it can recuperate with all the wear and tear.
Here is how Austin’s workout looks like according to How Celebs Get Fit.com:
- Day 1 – On the first day of the week, Austin starts off with 5-6 sets of squat exercises. It is then followed up by 2 sets of straight leg dead lift exercises and 2 sets of BB shrug exercises.
- Day 2 – The second day of workout starts with 3-4 sets of bench press exercises followed up by 2 sets of Incline Bench Press exercises and concluded by cardio workouts.
- Day 3 – Austin works out the most on Day 3 which is started off 2 sets of BB Rows, 2 sets of DB Rows, 2 sets of BB Shrugs, 2 sets of DB Shrugs and concluded by cardio exercises.
- Day 4 – On the final workout day of the week, Austin does 2 sets of BB Press, 2 sets of DB Press, 2 sets of Close Grip Bench Press and concludes with cardio workouts.
